Search Engine Marketing Analyst
Job Summary:
The Search Engine Marketing Analyst will plan, implement, track and analyze search marketing programs and campaigns to include search optimization, search marketing (pay per click), blog marketing, click path analysis and other programs. The Analyst will work with the Account Service and Creative team to deliver a robust search marketing strategy and plan to optimize the clients' value and budget. The Search Marketing Analyst will be responsible for providing input on appropriate search and marketing tactics, implementing those tactics and providing reporting, analysis, conclusions and recommendations back to clients. Reporting and analysis of search marketing programs, traffic, ROI and other relevant metrics through weekly/monthly analysis will be essential as well as keeping up to date with new trends in the marketplace on SEO/SEM marketing, products and resources. Critical to the role will be the ability to analyze and interpret reports and make clear and concise conclusions and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of direct SEO/SEM experience
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data and reports and making conclusions and recommendations
- Proven track record of successful SEO, linking strategy, plan implementation
- Experience with paid search campaigns, specifically monitoring pay per click (PPC)
- Specific knowledge in major engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Lycos, Ask Jeeves
- Specific knowledge in major directories such as DMOZ and Zeal
- Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong client facing skills
- Proficient with SEO reporting/ analytical tools, Word, Excel, HTML and JavaScript
