Achieved First Page Positioning on Major Search Engines in 90 Days

THE CLIENT
Recognized as one of the world's premier brands of flavored vodkas, Van Gogh Vodka was looking to shake up their online image. More specifically, they wanted to ensure that the 125-year-old vodka's sought after smoothness was positioned on the first page of the major search engines. To accomplish these goals, the Holland-based brand turned to .Com Marketing.

THE CHALLENGE
The client had amassed an impressive online library of more than 10,000 martini recipes. The vast, dynamically-driven database, along with the site's overall design and lack of keyword-rich content, was unfortunately not search engine friendly. The goal was to launch a new website for Van Gogh Vodka that was not only representative of their brand but was also well optimized for search engines.

THE SOLUTION
Through its own carefully crafted process, .Com Marketing researched relevant keyword phrases that would best optimize the site's performance, driving relevant traffic through keyword positioning. Additionally, .Com Marketing had to "shelve" the old martini recipe database and start from scratch, ensuring that all areas of the new website design were 100% search engine friendly.


THE SUCCESS
Within just 90 days after the site's initial launch, the number of repeat visits increased by 26.81% and the number of unique visitors also had an impressive increase of 24.63%. Additionally, within this most competitive industry, Van Gogh Vodka received first page positioning on relevant, traffic-producing keyword phrases, such as "flavored vodkas," "free martini recipes," and "martini recipes," on both Yahoo! and Google. In the ten months after the launch, first position listings for keyword phrases climbed 28% from 10 to 36 on Google, Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, and DMOZ, with total listings increasing 44% to 114 from their former 50.
