200 Hotel reservations in first 7 days

The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has approximately 153,000 employees. In fiscal year 2000, Marriott International reported system wide sales of $19.8 billion.
CHALLENGE
Maui, Hawaii wanted to fill up vacancy during a period of April- May with a special offer of $199/night with a 4-night minimum stay. To drive qualified vacationers to Marriott’s Maui resort versus all the other hotel and resorts on the island of Maui.
PROCESS
.Com Marketing recommended to the client, that they build a splash page creating a strong call to action for the offer. They allocated a budget, we carefully selected online travel portals, and created strong call to action ad banners with the offer noted.
RESULTS
From April 1-7, 2002, Marriott Maui was able to track 200 reservations from this online promotion during the first week. This equated to $200,000 in gross online hotel bookings.
