Disney Liquidation.com is owned and operated by Liquidation Services, Inc. LSI has been in business for seven years and has been licensed by the Walt Disney Company to help alleviate an overstock and excess inventory situation.
BRIEF
Disney Liquidation hired .Com Marketing in July 2003, to help them with their search engine marketing. They told our team that they had hired a web design firm that had already started building the new web site. We immediately recommended to our client that .Com Marketing’s search engine engineers take a look at the site before any more programming take place. We found that the site had some major flaws in design that would impede our success in search engine marketing. We immediately started consultation on how to build a search engine friendly web site.
CHALLENGE
To get top placement on such popular keywords such as Disney, Disney merchandise, and Disney collectibles.
PROCESS
.Com Marketing analyzed the drafts of disneyliquidation.com and created our SOAR report (Search Engine Optimization and Analysis Report). This reported all the major flaws in the current design of the site that needed to change in order for the site to be search engine friendly. All of these changes could be made during the building of the site.
RESULTS
Walt Disney World Corporation (WDW) contacted the owners of disneyliquidation.com within one month asking them how they are getting #1 placement and the search engines. WDW then asked if they could buy the domain name disneyliquidation.com from them due to it’s high placement on the search engines.
